Two plants of the beverage giant are on the move to strengthen their labor-management cooperation and grievance machineries.
The Ilocos Norte and Calasiao Plants of the Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines, Inc. made initial coordination with the National Conciliation and Mediation Board Regional Branch No. 1 for the company-level seminar. This comes as the two plants conveyed the same intent of improving the partnership of labor and management in the company.
“I like the idea of a company making the initiative to invite us for this kind of thing,” NCMB Regional Director Brenda Rose C. Odsey said, “because it tells a lot about their disposition towards labor relations.” She also said that the desire for this kind of seminars is always a good decision especially during these times.
The Ilocos Plant is set to conduct its online orientation in September while the Calasiao Plant is currently arranging the appropriate schedule.
Both plants are looking to review the basics of the bipartite alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, as well as to review their existing LMC structure and grievance machinery procedures.
