The Universal Leaf Philippines, Incorporated (ULPI) held its third LMC Program orientation for its employees on June 19, 2020 via the internet.

Coming off a webinar with the same topic on May 21, 2020, ULPI conducted the event with the largest participation totaling to 167 (M – 113, F – 54). Of these, 33 were either supervisors or mid-level managers and 134 were associates. The audience represented the company’s main office in Agoo, La Union) and its branch office in Candon City, Ilocos Sur.

The initial seminar was in January 2020 where mostly executives and managers were the only attendees. The second done via internet included more employees from the two offices.

Human Resource Manager Mr. Ian Penuliar expressed gladness with the kind of perception and reception the employees had about the Board’s LMC Program. “Their willingness to embrace the idea of LMC is very evident,” Penuliar said, adding that there was much support from and involvement of the employees, even in the planning stage of creating the company’s LMC program structure.

“We in the HR department is excited about the future of this endeavor,” Penuliar told Sr. LEO Lester B. Panem after the webinar. “We take the privilege in laying the foundations of this cooperative effort and make a legacy for ourselves in the history of ULPI,” he added. Penuliar also mentioned about how much is already in his head about the kind of programs his department will undertake along with the employees of ULPI.
